  6. Suicide crisis and self-harm attendance at A&E in autistic CYP

    Research suggests that autistic people are at a higher risk of suicide than non-autistic people. Figures show that up to 66% of autistic adults had thought about suicide during their lifetime (compared to 20% of non-autistic adults), and up to 35% had planned or attempted suicide.

    The key success of the Business, Corporate, Banking and Finance Law Research Group was its contribution to the corporate governance and financial regulation debate during the global financial crisis. The Group's areas of expertise include banking and financial regulation, corporate governance, professional and business ethics, and regulatory risk management and compliance.

    Solicitor Rachel founded LJMU’s free Legal Advice Centre in 2014, just one year after she joined the School of Law. Every year the centre helps hundreds of people through its free legal advice and public legal information activities, contributing significantly to the economic and social wellbeing of the Liverpool City Region, while developing our students’ skills to put them one step ahead in their professional careers upon graduation.
