1. Spring graduation 2024

   This April, LJMU celebrated the achievements of 2,678 students who graduated across eight ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.

4. Developing the diverse workforce of the future for engineering and technology

   LJMU hosted events with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers exploring diversity and inclusion in engineering and technology skills.

5. 25 years of nursing at LJMU

   A year before Liverpool Polytechnic became Liverpool John Moores University, another major change happened at the institution. In April 1991, the Liverpool School of Nursing and Midwifery amalgamated with the Poly, laying the foundations for today’s School of Nursing and Allied Health.

6. British Academy backs research into COVID policing

   Following the tragic killing of George Floyd in America, questions of police legitimacy and police malpractice are being debated internationally.

7. Face Lab wins Research Team of the Year

   Liverpool John Moores University’s Face Lab has scooped the 2019 Educate North Research Team of the Year Award, for its innovative techniques in craniofacial identification and forensic art.

8. Majority of April and May exams to be held online

   Most exams in April and May 2022 will be held online. There are a small number of examinations which will be held in-person due to specific requirements of the professional body.
