1. Students given unique insight into production of BBC Radio Merseyside’s longest running programme

   LJMU's MA Mass Communications students went behind the scenes at BBC Radio Merseyside for a studio tour, followed by an 'in conversation' event with Mike Brocken, presenter of Folkscene, Radio Merseyside's longest running programme.

2. Honorary Fellowships and Corporate Awards

   Nominations are now invited for individuals and organisations to be considered for Honorary Fellowships and Awards.

3. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

4. New Online Development Resources for LJMU Staff

   Two new online modules on Resilience and Appraisals are available from the Learning and Development Foundation

5. LJMU joins Higher Education, Transnational Education (TNE) mission to Vietnam and Cambodia

   During the mission, LJMU were able to showcase their University offerings, meet with the UK Ambassador to Vietnam, Gareth Ward, and hold business to business meetings to ignite discussions surrounding the development of transnational education opportunities.

7. Training for managers: disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.

8. Exhibition Research Lab presents: Printed Matter

   Printed Matter is a series of inter-connected exhibitions that reflect the collaborative nature and global reach of printmaking, compiled and curated by Hannah Fray, Paul Davidson and Neil Morris, Printmaking staff at LJMU’s School of Art and Design.

9. LJMU accelerating partnership talks with FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), Hanoi

   The Head of International Partnerships and International Partnerships Manager held talks in Hanoi with representatives of FPT School of Business & Technology to support the development of LJMU's Transnational education ventures in Vietnam.

10. GRADitude Award

    For the first time, this year’s Amazing Teaching Awards from JMSU will feature a new award (the GRADitude Award) for a member of staff who had or is having a huge, positive impact on a final year student’s experience at LJMU.
