1. LJMU celebrates winners of Paramedic Games 2022

   Current LJMU Paramedic Science students, Mathew Keegan, Emily Brown & Naomi Roberts have been named the winners of the Paramedic Games 2022 at LJMU.

2. Pensions Awareness Week online events 12-16 September

   As part of Pensions Awareness Week, Merseyside Pension Fund will be running a series of live online events which aim to increase pensions awareness among active members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

3. Happy Diwali!

   Diwali is an annual five-day festival of lights celebrated during the Hindu month of Kartika. In the spirit of celebration, let us all get involved with the brilliant array of events occurring during this period in Liverpool, in neighbouring cities and even virtually. Happy Diwali everyone!

4. Introducing the JMSU Student Officer team 2024/25

   Four new student officers are now in post for the 2024/2025 academic year to represent the 27,000 students at LJMU.

5. LJMU Wellbeing Week: Guided Walk

   Our free, one hour guided walks continue this month as part of LJMU Wellbeing Week.

6. Change to process for visiting lecturers

   LJMU is introducing a new and more efficient process for appointing visiting lecturers.

7. Aldham Robarts Library to remain closed on Sundays until end of 2023

   Staff and students can access alternate library services at the Student Life Building or visit the Avril Robarts Library on Sundays.

8. Transgender Awareness Workshop 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with Subject Matter Expert; GenderSpace and are pleased to offer LJMU/JMSU Staff the opportunity to participate in a virtual, half day (three hour) Transgender Awareness Workshop.

9. Athena SWAN Workshop: Understanding Data & Top Tips

   In support of gender-equality and the several departments considering applying for their Athena SWAN Bronze/Silver Awards here at LJMU, this Athena SWAN Workshop: Understanding Data and Top Tips has been arranged in order to provide Departmental Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Teams (SATs) with the opportunity to gain some practical knowledge in relation to the application process.
