    We are committed to ensuring that nobody should suffer from the effects of poverty. That’s why we’re supporting our students with the cost-of-living crisis, offering safe and warm spaces on campus. This sentiment is built into our Access and Participation Plan which aims to improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education and avoid poverty.

  2. Liverpool Film Seminar

    The Liverpool Film Seminar is a series of talks. Every year, leading scholars present their film studies research. A range of genres, topics and approaches are celebrated, from Batman to Bardot, from historical reach to the internet’s impact on cinematic material.

    Radwraps is an innovative print company based in Southport who have been developing a new product that offers an alternative to laminated posters.

  4. Fibrestar Drums

    Fibrestar Drums is a packaging company which designs and manufactures packaging solutions providing economical, high-quality, versatile packaging to business customers.

  5. Teaching and learning

    The Research Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology offer a range of learning opportunities in natural sciences including animal behaviour, biology, conservation, bioarchaeology, forensic anthropology and primate behaviour.   6. Serious Games

    Serious Games is one of the strands of the Artivism Research Group. A major project of the Group is the board game - Probationary: The Game of Live on Licence. This art piece explores the lived experience of being on probation.

  7. A better deal for renters

    The aim of this study is to gain an understanding of tenants’ experiences and attitudes to how the private rented sector in England is regulated and how the sector could be improved to create a fairer rental market.

  8. Alcohol

    At the Public Health Institute we look into alchohol consumption and harm across a range of populations and environments. We take up original research and study established datasets to understand the impacts of alcohol on society.
