2. Pain Signalling in Humans: A Superfast Highway to the Brain Discovered

   Pain signals can travel as fast as touch signals, according to a new study from researchers at Liverpool John Moores University’s SomAffect Group, Linköping University (Sweden), and the National Institutes of Health (USA).

3. Screen School student hailed at international film festival

   A Screen School student has won first prize at the 2019 Pesaro Film Festival. Taking place in Pesaro, Italy, the festival recognises the talents of established and emerging filmmakers, and confers awards covering a range of areas, including a category for university students.

4. Transgender Awareness Workshops (2019/20)

   LJMU are proud to be working in partnership with Subject Matter Expert; GenderSpace and are pleased to offer LJMU Staff the opportunity to participate in a half day, Transgender Awareness Workshop.

5. Can you support Clearing this year?

   Clearing is fast approaching and, once again, we are looking for support to staff the 105 Clearing Hotlines on Thursday 15 August 2019.

9. Getting to grips with technology in media

   Pupils from Sacred Heart College, Crosby joined the Media Technology Group of the Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering to learn technical processes for creating TV programmes.

10. Students visit textiles and life conference

    MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation students: Joshua Marriott, Macarena Morilla Dominguez and Courtney Hammond presented research posters based on their MA proposals.
