1. Staff survey about online teaching during COVID

   Students at Liverpool School of Art and Design are asking staff to complete a short survey about their experience of online teaching during the pandemic.

3. Mersey Youth Rowing's First Training Workshop with LJMU's Performance Sports Department

   The Performance Sports Department hosted Mersey Youth Rowing's inaugural training workshop. The program, developed by Warrington Rowing Club, promotes diversity in rowing and imparts vital life skills. Coached by experts including Dr. Tim Donovan and Professor Graeme Close, the workshop equips youth rowers with essential knowledge for their competitive journey.

6. Professor Greg Whyte supports Jo Brand with her Sport Relief challenge

   Professor of Applied Sport and Exercise Science, Greg Whyte OBE, accompanied Jo Brand on her ‘Hell of a Walk’.

7. Professor welcomes international delegates as ECSS President

   LJMU’s Professor of Exercise Physiology is also the incumbent President of the European College of Sport Science, and recently welcomed around 2,800 delegates from across the globe to the annual congress, this year held in Vienna.

8. LJMU students help refugees at the Polish/Ukrainian border

   MA Wildlife Conservation students Vanessa Grundy, 27 and Alex Donnelly, 27 along with Vanessa's brother Mike Grundy are currently at the Poland-Ukraine border helping refugees get to safe accommodation in Krakow, and further across Europe, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

9. Kind staff and students support Whitechapel Centre Christmas appeal

   Warm clothes, selection boxes, toiletry sets and Christmas foods were among the items collected and donated by staff and students.

10. ICC Head of Research invited to join AHRC Peer Review College 2020-23

    Following a competitive nomination process, LJMU's Kerry Wilson has been invited by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to join its academic Peer Review College.
