    LJMU’s EDI Team are proud to be working in partnership with an array of equality and diversity training specialists and subject matter experts, in order to offer the opportunity to participate in workshops and training.

  3. Athena SWAN

    Liverpool John Moores University joined the Athena SWAN charter in 2014 and was first presented with an Institutional Bronze award in 2014, in recognition of ongoing work relating to gender equality. Since then, LJMU had a second successful submission of their Institutional Bronze award in 2017.

  4. Steve Collett

    Read the oration for Steve Collett on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Andrew Holroyd.

  6. Pre departure advice - Go abroad

    Not all of our students are experienced travellers and the Study Abroad Team are keen to support as best we can. We host a number of compulsory information sessions that students are required to attend before embarking on their experience of lifetime.   7. Sir Bert Massie CBE DL (1949 – 2017)

    Bert was a famous disability rights campaigner, himself a wheelchair user, dedicating his life to advocating for improvements to the daily life of those with disabilities. He was also an alumnus of the Liverpool Polytechnic, later becoming an Honorary Fellow and serving as a governor, while working closely with the university on its equality and diversity policies.

  8. John Moores Jr CBE, DL (1928-2012)

    The second Chancellor of LJMU, serving for five years from 1994 to 1999, and the son of Sir John Moores who the university is proudly named in honour of.
