1. Advance HE Aurora Programme final days to apply

   LJMU staff are reminded that the application deadline for the Advance HE Aurora Programme, a leadership development initiative for women, is Friday 4 November 2022.

2. Oar-some marathon rowing challenge

   Danny Cullinane, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, is attempting to row further than he has ever rowed before, by completing a marathon distance (42,195 metres) in aid of the charity True Athlete Project.

3. LJMU transforming endoscopy training across the North West

   LJMU’s School of Nursing and Allied Health is helping to transform endoscopy training through its collaboration with a new academy.

4. Outreach programme takes pupils to London

   Local school children have visited University College London (UCL) as part of an LJMU widening access programme. Access All Areas is an initiative from LJMU’s Outreach team which arranged the first university exchange for year 11 pupils.

5. International student engagement and assessment policy updates

   Changes have been made to some LJMU staff policies.

6. Privacy and security survey

   To better understand how much we all know about data protection matters, a short staff survey has been put together.

7. Extra Security is coming – Get Ready!

   LJMU will soon be bringing in additional security to protect everyone’s data, with the introduction of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to some online services.

   LJMU's School of Sport & Exercise Science hosts Homeless World Cup players and researches impact on individuals

10. Come and cheer on Team LJMU at the 2024 Lord Mayor's Dragon Boat Race

    LJMU are the main sponsor of this years’ event and three staff teams will compete on Sunday 12 May.
