Current CPMH Co-Director, Professor Nicholas J White (LJMU) and former CPMH Co-Director, Professor Andrew Popp (Copenhagen Business School) are the series editors of the Liverpool University Press book series, Studies in Port and Maritime History.

Research within the Contexts of Human Evolution Group involves archaeological, palaeontological and environmental analyses of human evolution. Our research focuses on mammalian evolution, hominin behaviour and ecology, and patterns of faunal and floral distribution. Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication.
