1. Law alumna Nisha Katona MBE announced as next Chancellor

   The Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Nisha Katona MBE as the sixth Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University.

2. LJMU takes handover of landmark Copperas Hill development

   Liverpool John Moores University has taken handover of its landmark new development on Copperas Hill. Contractor Morgan Sindall Construction has reached practical completion of the three and a half acre site in the heart of the city centre.

3. Alpine F1 performance coach and jet lag doctoral researcher visits LJMU ahead of new Formula 1 season

   Sport and Exercise Science Professional Doctorate student, Tom Clark, visited LJMU last week in preparation for the start of the new Formula 1 season and to discuss his jet lag research. Tom has spent the past four years working with the Alpine F1 team and specifically their driver Esteban Ocon.

4. Launch of LJMU Innovation Programme

   LJMU is launching a new programme to support staff in developing successful innovation and business concepts.

5. Winner of Novella Award announced

   Nina Allan has been announced as the winner of the Novella Award, hosted by LJMU.

6. Royal Television Society Award winners

   Two Media Production graduates won Royal Television Society (RTS) awards for their documentary ‘One Eye Open.’ Ian Garden and Josie Webster came first in the Factual Category at the annual Student Television Awards, held at the Lowry Theatre, MediaCityUK.

7. Honorary Fellow Sir Jon Murphy

   Sir Jon Murphy QPM received an Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University on Thursday 27 November 2014 in recognition of his exceptional services to policing and community relations.
