   Sport and Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University is in the top 15 in the world in a new global ranking.

2. LJMU plays host to Help for Heroes community sport series weekend

   LJMU staff assisted Help for Heroes sport coaches and local sports teams to facilitate a range of inclusive and fully accessible sport sessions to a group being supported by the charity.

3. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

4. Liverpool FC Women's appoints university sport scientist

   Liverpool FC Women has appointed sport scientist Dr Fran Champ to its backroom staff as the club strengthens its medical and sports psychology set-up.

5. Contract signed to deliver major Copperas Hill scheme

   Morgan Sindall Construction has signed a contract to deliver Liverpool John Moores University’s landmark new development on Copperas Hill.

6. International endorsement of sport strength and conditioning internship at LJMU

   The International Universities Strength and Conditioning Association has recognised LJMU for the quality of its Performance Sport Internship Scheme.

7. Sport science students make an impact with nearly 15,000 hours of placements

   From community sports clubs that support people with special educational needs to premier league football clubs, 173 students have undertaken 14,730 hours of work-based placements this academic year.
