   LJMU has been rewarded for its commitment to environmental management and sustainability on campus.

2. Lecturer’s new book examines security at sports mega-events amid the pandemic

   International Relations and Politics with Sociology Lecturer, Dr Jan Ludvigsen, shared insights from his book this week with the LJMU community ahead of its release on Friday 8 April.

3. Estranged Students Solidarity Week

   Monday 25th - Friday 29th November is Estranged Students Solidarity Week, a national campaign to raise awareness of the issues affecting students who are studying in higher education without the support of a family network.

4. One to one appointments for careers advice

   Our Student Futures: Careers, Employability and Enterprise team has a range of careers support over December and the festive break.

5. Careers advice for students and graduates with a disability, are neurodiverse or have a long term health condition.

   LJMU students and graduates attended a virtual careers event to give them advice on their future careers.

6. LJMU pledges to secure successful student futures at House of Commons

   22 universities, including Liverpool John Moores University and JMSU have pledged to develop a Student Futures Manifesto joint action between a university and its students to improve the student experience.

8. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

   The university has launched its new social media policy to help staff get the most out of their communications and to stay safe.
