4. International students studying with upGrad celebrated in Liverpool

   Students from India, Jordan, Vietnam, Iran, Singapore and Norway took part in a three-day visit to LJMU.

5. Graduation review Thursday 11 July 2019

   The penultimate day of our summer graduation week boasted three ceremonies; graduands from Liverpool Business School celebrated in both the morning and afternoon, while graduands from the School of Humanities and Social Science enjoyed their ceremony with family and friends from 5pm.

6. Reciprocal Mentoring Programme involving BAME Staff, Black Students and Senior Leaders

   Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.

7. New sensor could dramatically improve fight against malaria

   Many thousands of malaria deaths could be averted thanks to new sensor technology being developed in the UK.

8. In memoriam: Professor David R. Burton

   It is with great sadness that the university has learned of the passing of Professor David R. Burton.

9. Minister for Health 'humbled' by resilience of LJMU nurses

   Yara and Rawan Kassab, 21, were a picture of delight as they graduated from an award-winning LJMU course on Friday.
