The Mechanical Engineering and Materials Research Centre (MEMARC) specialises in fracture and contact mechanics, wave propagation in lattices and microstructures, thermal fatigue and thermal striping, materials development and processing, as well as dynamics and control systems. The Sport Coaching Research Group undertakes research within PE, sports development and leisure studies with sports organisations and governing bodies including British Cycling, Sport England, and the Youth Sport Trust. Our expertise relates to inclusivity in sport, coaching, physical activity and children's movement.
Lucy Day is a Research Impact Officer within our Research and Innovation Services here at LJMU. She graduated from LJMU in 2002 in psychology and biology and has been working at LJMU since 2010.
