   Summer is here, and with more time spent outside and catching up with friends, LJMU are reminding all students, living within the community, some simple reminders on how to be a good neighbour.

   Get some paid work experience at a local business working a real-life project that you can really get stuck into

3. Teaching textile and craft processes to high school pupils

   Staff and students from the Liverpool School of Art and Design have opened their workshops to pupils from Crosby High School as part of a four-month long collaboration exploring university learning.

4. Help us make a difference to Student Health and Wellbeing

   Take part in our Student Lifestyle and Health Survey and help shape our wellbeing services.

5. Pick up your free Wellbeing Journal

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students

6. Students learn traditional techniques to create sustainable fabrics and garments

   Throughout the academic year more than 120 undergraduate, MA and PhD students from a range of disciplines across the Liverpool School of Art and Design have learnt a variety of traditional skills from leatherwork to weaving.

7. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

8. MA Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice student gives their advice for kick starting a new business

   Rena, 39 began studying at LJMU in 2020 and decided to transform a café into counselling rooms during her second year of study.

9. Christine Eyene joins LJMU and jury of Turner Prize 2022

   The Liverpool School of Art and Design has welcomed a new lecturer to its ranks, art critic, historian, and curator Christine Eyene. As well as taking up a new post here at LJMU, she will also play an important role in deciding the winner of one of the best-known prizes for visual art, the Turner Prize 2022, as she has been selected to sit on this years jury.

10. Public Health Institute and Drama students create educational film on gang-related violence

    LJMU Drama students have joined forces with LJMUs Public Health Institute to create an educational film helping NHS staff deal with the consequences of gang-related violence in hospitals.
