4. New 'low carbon' cement idea wins international engineering prize

   Civil engineers who developed a new type of cement which creates 80% fewer carbon emissions have won a prestigious international prize.

5. Student nurses train in the community in new Mersey Care partnership

   Ten trainee nurses will work alongside district and community nurses over the next year as part of a new internship scheme aimed at supporting direct career pathways into the community health sector.

6. Advance HE Aurora Programme final days to apply

   LJMU staff are reminded that the application deadline for the Advance HE Aurora Programme, a leadership development initiative for women, is Friday 4 November 2022.
