1. New support for staff development

   The university will shortly be introducing a new system to support you in recording and tracking performance and development conversations.

   More than 150 healthcare professionals from across the country were celebrated at a conference hosted by LJMU that championed advanced clinical practice.

3. Applications for Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students now open

   The final round of paid Discovery Internships for this academic year, which are all sustainability themed, are open for applications now from second and final year (level 5 and 6) students.

4. LJMU share AI insight at school technology day

   Staff from LJMU’s Horizons project arranged a talk on AI for Year 10 pupils from Liverpool Life Sciences UTC.

5. Silver award for support of the Armed Forces

   LJMU has received the silver award from the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledging how it provides support to the Armed Forces community.

6. LJMU supports law students as host of national speed mooting competition

   School of Law students from LJMU, alongside those attending from other universities, took part in the mooting events, presenting their verbal arguments and putting their knowledge to the test that they’ve learnt during their studies.

8. New HEFCE funding to upskill Liverpool City Region’s engineering industry

   LJMU has been awarded a share of £6.1 million by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to develop new and enhanced higher education courses.

9. Major new joint research project will focus on mental health of jockeys and staff in the horse racing industry

   LJMU, Racing Welfare and the BHA will be carrying out a major new piece of research into the provision of mental health services across horse racing.
