   A new Export Controls and Sanctions Policy, in relation to research and knowledge exchange activity, has been approved and added to the LJMU Policy Centre.

3. Trans Day of Visibility Friendship Event and Open House

   An event and open house for students and staff on Friday 31 March

4. New way to request visitor parking and out of hours or security access

   Campus Support (Security) now has a number of staff request forms available via the LJMU HelpMe portal, to help with the management of requests.

5. VC Award 'statuettes' tick sustainable boxes ... and look amazing!

   Stunning awards made from plant starch and containing copper nano-particles will be handed out at the Research and Knowledge Exchange awards next week.

6. Dance soiree to explore ‘Growing Old in the Soviet Union’

   Participants are invited to watch a 30-minute dance following the life trajectory of two Soviet citizens and then to give views about ageing and older people as part of an LJMU History and Wellcome Trust project.

7. School of Art and Design receives RIBA funding

   RIBA has awarded funding to LJMU's School of Art and Design for innovative research into building design for sufferers of dementia.

8. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

9. Prestigious position in development and evolution of built environment education

   Professor Mike Riley, Head of Department for Built Environment at LJMU, has been elected as Chair of the Council of Heads of Built Environment (CHOBE).

10. Email account improvements

    IT Services will soon be migrating staff email accounts to provide us with greater security, increased storage limits and easier accessibility.
