   The development of the ‘guardian project’ will see LJMU student volunteers be trained alongside street pastors to provide support, to those who need it, in Liverpool’s night-time economy, such as helping people get home or providing emotional support.

7. Respect Always schools' competition winners experience graduation

   Primary and secondary school pupils have been recognised by LJMU’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor for demonstrating what respect means to them, and their school communities, as part of a creative competition.

8. Campaigning for Inclusion, Equality, Freedom & Justice: LJMU LGBT History Month Event 2019

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team in collaboration with the LJMU LGBTIQ+ Staff Network, presented an opportunity for all LJMU staff, students and members of the local community to attend this year’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month Event (2019).

9. Dinosaur footprint expert to feature in Channel 5 series fronted by Stephen Fry

   Dinosaurs with Stephen Fry, airing from Sunday 12 February on Channel 5, will feature expert analysis from LJMU’s Dr Peter Falkingham. He will explain how birds are modern descendants of dinosaurs by looking at the motion of ostriches compared to the T. rex.

10. New Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion appointed

    LJMU has appointed six Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion (ADDI), representing each of the five faculties and professional services, to support the university in driving forward the diversity and inclusion agenda.
