2. Support over the spring break and what to do in Liverpool

   For most of our students following the standard academic calendar, the spring break runs from 9 to 24 April. Whether you are heading home or staying around Liverpool, here is some advice on where to go, what to do if you need help and support and those all important Library opening times.

3. Paid opportunities for LJMU students to be a part-time school tutor with The Tutor Trust

   Become a paid school tutor alongside your studies with The Tutor Trust and hear from an LJMU student who is currently working for the organisation.

4. LJMU PHD student Valeria Carini recognised at Pandemic Institute’s first Student Excellence Awards

   Valeria was presented the award alongside students from the University of Liverpool and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with grants for scientific research, aimed to enhance preparedness for future pandemics.

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students

6. MA Student shortlisted for ‘Tourism Young Person of the Year’

   LJMU student Victoria Smith, 24 was shortlisted for the Tourism Young Person of the Year award at this years Liverpool City Region Tourist Awards 2022. The awards, that took place at Liverpool Cathedral, saw businesses and guests from across Liverpool celebrating the city regions tourism sector.

7. Estranged Students Solidarity Week

   Monday 25th - Friday 29th November is Estranged Students Solidarity Week, a national campaign to raise awareness of the issues affecting students who are studying in higher education without the support of a family network.

8. Training: Supporting students from Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boater communities

   LJMU has long prided itself on offering access to higher education to under-represented sections of our community.

9. Reminder to all students to be a good neighbour

   Summer is here, and with more time spent outside and catching up with friends, LJMU are reminding all students, living within the community, some simple reminders on how to be a good neighbour.
