   Barry Fowler joined King Edward the Seventh Nautical College, London in May 1952. Barry spent four years as an apprentice and eventually rose to the position of captain at Elder Dempster Lines.

6. Barry Groombridge interview – Elder Dempster

   Barry Groombridge joined Elder Dempster Lines aged 16. Barry’s first voyage was from London to the United States, via West Africa. The voyage lasted nine months. 7. Sharing Practice – Supporting Student Collaborative Activities with Shared Documents in Office 365

   Faculty colleague Andrew Kennedy has kindly offered to share his experiences of using shared documents on Office 365 both to support student group assessments and also to facilitate active and engaging shared writing and proof reading activities.

8. Graham Austin interview – Elder Dempster

   As a Printer for Elder Dempster Lines, Graham Austin sometimes worked 18-hours a day and was responsible for printing the menus, programme of events and stationery for the ship’s various departments. Listen to Graham's interview.
