1. Welcome to our new students

   First things first, before you arrive and start your studies there’s a few essential things you must do to officially become an LJMU student, starting with your online registration.

2. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

3. Paid opportunities for LJMU students to be a part-time school tutor with The Tutor Trust

   Become a paid school tutor alongside your studies with The Tutor Trust and hear from an LJMU student who is currently working for the organisation.

4. Academic Registry online training sessions

   There are lots of academic staff training opportunities still available throughout the remainder of semester one.

5. Grad Academy for 2022 grads and current final year students

   From 2 to 11 May join the Grad Academy events and get support from the Student Futures team in the lead up to graduation and beyond on your journey to your next career destination!

6. Going for Gold at Tokyo 2020

   Good luck to all our LJMU athletes and sport science staff as they go for medal glory in Japan.

8. International Women's Day: digital finance research for women and minority groups in Nigeria

   This International Women’s Day we’re highlighting one of LJMU’s latest research projects led by Dr Alison Lui, Reader in Corporate and Financial Law, as well as events happening across campus.

9. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

10. Register to attend the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference

    All staff are invited to attend the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference 2023, taking place in December.
