2. Olympus partnership to train more professionals in cancer screening

   Liverpool John Moores University is set to train more people in diagnosing cancer thanks to a partnership with global optics firm Olympus.

4. Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded

   Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded over the Easter weekend. The upgraded system will be available by 8am on Tuesday 6th April. The upgrade will move the system to the latest version of the software, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and continues to effectively support the University's business.

   Welcome news this week that LJMU is amongst the UK's top performing universities for enabling social mobility.

7. Mind the GaP!

   Time is rapidly running out for Principal Investigators to be trained on the new Grants and Projects (GaP) system. It has been agreed by the University that any bids for external funding (research and enterprise activity) from April 2020 will need to be set up by the Principal Investigator on the GaP system, so its important that you book onto training ASAP.

   Diwali is an annual five-day festival of lights celebrated during the Hindu month of Kartika. In the spirit of celebration, let us all get involved with the brilliant array of events occurring during this period in Liverpool, in neighbouring cities and even virtually. Happy Diwali everyone!
