1. City heritage walks return

   We are delighted to announce the return of our successful heritage walks around Liverpool.

2. Another successful year for the online summer course “Sustainability and Employability”

   Over 60 students successfully completed the online summer course Sustainability and Employability: Understanding Sustainability Issues and Getting Ready for the Job Market.

3. April is Autism Acceptance Month

   Bethany Donaghy, PhD student at LJMU, shares her personal experience with autism, describes common misconceptions, and talks about diagnosis and support.

   Is dark tourism just another fad in the age of the selfie and tick list travelling? Gillian O’Brien explains its appeal and gives it historical context.

5. Barrister-to-be selected for national law prize

   A Liverpool John Moores University law student has been awarded the prestigious national Neuberger Prize for her outstanding academic achievement.

6. Student Spotlight: Abbie Romano

   The representations of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) roles is improving, but there’s work to be done. As of 2018, WISE Campaign (Women into Science and Engineering) announced that the UK is on track to have one million women working in the field by 2020. These statistics are encouraging, and demonstrate an improvement in opportunities shown to young women who pursue the career path.

7. Graduation review Thursday 11 July 2019

   The penultimate day of our summer graduation week boasted three ceremonies; graduands from Liverpool Business School celebrated in both the morning and afternoon, while graduands from the School of Humanities and Social Science enjoyed their ceremony with family and friends from 5pm.

8. Graduation review: Wednesday 10 July

   Students from Liverpool Screen School, the School of Law, Liverpool School of Art and Design and the Liverpool Centre for Advanced Policing Studies received their awards.

9. Graduation review: Friday 12 July 2019

   As graduation week ended, the final graduands of July 2019 arrived at Liverpool Cathedral with their friends and families to receive their awards.

10. Meet the electric Formula Student team heading to Silverstone this summer

    Intrepid engineering students are hoping to race LJMUs first electric racing car around the world-famous Formula 1 track in July.
