   International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) aims to raise awareness of discrimination and violence against people within the LGBTIQ+ community, to drive positive change.

3. Visit to House of Lords to discuss how to support disabled graduates

   Keren Coney, Careers Adviser in Student Advancement: LJMU's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Service, was thrilled to go to the House of Lords to meet with Lord Shinkwin to discuss how to support disabled graduates as they seek to enter the workplace.

4. LJMU's Outdoor Learning Area officially opens

   Trainee teachers and schoolchildren from across the Liverpool City Region are developing new skills and confidence thanks to LJMUs Outdoor Learning Area. The green space in the heart of the city centre has been officially opened this week and is already hugely popular with student teachers and school pupils.

6. #IDPD2019 - new development opportunities for staff

   LJMU to launch new Mental Health Awareness development opportunities for all staff in January 2020.

7. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

8. Women in Professional Services event: Wednesday 12 October 2022

   Staff are invited to the first face-to-face networking event organised by the Women in Professional Services (WPS) Network, taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the Student Life Building with guest speaker Dawn Corker.

9. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

10. IT upgrades coming your way

    During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.
