The Astrophysics Research Institute is interested in star formation, stellar evolution, time-domain astrophysics, galaxy formation and clusters, dynamics and evolution. Our aim is to become an internationally recognised centre of excellence in astrophysics. Facilities within the Astrophysics Research Institute include The Liverpool Telescope, sited on La Palma in the Canary Islands, it is a fully robotic telescope owned and operated by the Institute.
