   Wave propagation in lattices and microstructures is one of MEMARC's key research specialisms. Researchers working in this area concentrate on invisibility, focusing and shielding.

   The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated the pace at which educational institutions moved towards a blended approach of online and in-person learning (Jisc, 2020). While embracing this change, the challenges it brings for learner experience, engagement and learning must be carefully considered.

   Research interests within the Health and Wellbeing Research Theme focuses on the psychological aspects of illness, health and healthcare delivery.    The Centre for Natural Products Discovery is concerned with preventing and curing disease. Find out about all aspects of phytochemical and phytotherapy research, as well as some modernised aspects of pharmacognosy.

8. Control and Logistic Group

   Control and Logistic group have conducted research and implementation on Control, Optimization and Industrial systems for four decades.

9. Microelectronics Group

   Researchers from the Microelectronics Research Group are investigating new technologies and materials. Members from the Group are also exploring ‘show-stoppers’ for optimizing digital/analogue circuits.

10. Electric Machines and Drives Group

    The Electric Machines and Drives Research Group conducts research into: variable-speed electric drive systems, electrical power generation plants for renewable energy sources and power electronic converters for interfacing the variable-speed drives and generators.
