1. LJMU to launch climate and sustainability research institute

   LJMU is to launch a new research institute to bring together and accelerate world-leading research around climate and sustainability.

2. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

3. School of Justice Studies hosts students from Singapore University of Social Sciences

   The two-week summer school helped broaden the understanding of policing and the criminal justice system.

4. Making Liverpool schools sun safe this summer

   Liverpool John Moores University is working with the Skcin cancer charity and the Clare Daly Foundation to roll out the Sun Safe Schools accreditation across primary schools in the Liverpool region, which will benefit up to 10,000 children.

5. Graduation review Wednesday 11 July

   Wednesday saw the School of Sport Studies, Leisure and Nutrition graduate in the morning and the Public Health Institute and the School of Education in the afternoon ceremony.

6. Launch of LJMU Innovation Programme

   LJMU is launching a new programme to support staff in developing successful innovation and business concepts.

   LJMU strengthens links with the International Maritime University (UMIP) and the Technological University (UTP) of Panama.

   Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory selected by OECD to share learnings on impact on sustainability of Higher Education and research institutes.

   The CourseLoop Canvas resource has short video guides on how to get started in addition to information if you require additional help and support.
