2. Island lizards offer new twist on theories of evolution

   Professor Richard Brown and Dr Carlo Meloro publish research in Communications Biology which shows divergence of a species of lizard despite cohabitation and gene exchange.

3. National Business Awards finalist

   The University has been shortlisted for The Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship for the 2015 Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

4. Careers advice for students and graduates with a disability, are neurodiverse or have a long term health condition.

   LJMU students and graduates attended a virtual careers event to give them advice on their future careers.

6. CourseLoop survey

   Our new curriculum management system, CourseLoop, has been live since the start of the academic year and we’d love to hear what colleagues make of it so far.

7. New Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion appointed

   LJMU has appointed six Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion (ADDI), representing each of the five faculties and professional services, to support the university in driving forward the diversity and inclusion agenda.

8. Advance HE Aurora Programme 202223 applications open

   Applications are now being taken from LJMU staff for the Advance HE Aurora Programme

9. Law Students Take Part in Mock Employment Tribunal Event

   As part of LJMU's School of Law ethos to provide students with career-shaping opportunities, students recently participated in a mock employment tribunal at Liverpool Town Hall. The event allowed students to experience the inner workings of an Employment Tribunal and observe the skills and knowledge needed as they progress towards their careers in the legal sector. The students were able to experience a simulated trial thanks to the teams at Brabners, 9 St John Street Chambers and Adaptable Recruitment.

10. Amy's 'energy balls' boost Europe's women to Solheim Cup

    Europe's Solheim Cup stars had LJMUs own Amy O'Donnell to thank for the amazing energy levels that brought women's golf's top trophy home.
