From Veteranality to Criminological Artivism: understanding the veteran-offender through transformative criminological research
Chantelle is an alumna and current PhD researcher here at LJMU. She is a writer, public speaker, educator, entrepreneur and activist. She’s a national civil rights campaigner and the founder of Merseyside Alliance for Racial Equality CIC (MARE), a non-profit organisation committed to promoting racial equality across Merseyside through grassroots community-led education and engagement work.
Norman is considered to be the most popular cartoonist in Britian since the Second World War and some regard him as the unofficial artist of the British countryside. As a graduate of the Liverpool College of Art, the forerunner to today’s Liverpool School of Art and Design, it was here that he undertook a course in illustration, one of the many ex-servicemen and women who joined the school after the war.
An Honorary Fellow of LJMU for his continual pursuance of peace and one of the most memorable Roscoe lecturers to have graced the stage at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral for our popular public lecture series that has been running since 1997.
Lots of great work has gone into the Faculty’s Canvas courses (modules) this summer and it has been a real pleasure to see them take shape.
