4. MA Short Film Festival 2023 returns 24 to 31 March

   The festival returns for its third edition, featuring 42 films from across the globe that showcase the work of the best and brightest emerging student filmmakers.

5. Summer building closing times

   LJMU buildings will move to summer opening hours from Monday 19 June.

6. Mind the GaP!

   Time is rapidly running out for Principal Investigators to be trained on the new Grants and Projects (GaP) system. It has been agreed by the University that any bids for external funding (research and enterprise activity) from April 2020 will need to be set up by the Principal Investigator on the GaP system, so its important that you book onto training ASAP.

7. LJMU Libraries, Sport Building and SLB opening times over Easter break

   The Student Life Building will be open 24/7.

8. Teacher Training: Partnership approach earns praise from Ofsted

   Inspectors also cite social justice, mentoring and curriculum as Primary and Secondary training earn 'good' status

9. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

10. New Diversity and Inclusion Policy

    The D&I Team has developed the Transgender and Non-Binary Policy for staff and students, with accompanying guidance.
