1. Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science

   The Cardiovascular Health and Care Interest Group within the Institute for Health Research is a real-world applied research group that aims to provide healthcare solutions from bench to bedside.

2. Digital Health Interest Group 

   The Digital Health Interest Group within the Institute for Health Research are actively engaged with digital health research and aim to develop long-standing interventions to improve health care and pathways.

3. Mental Wellbeing Research Group

   Collaborative research focused on promoting wellbeing in individuals and communities.

4. Digital Data Examination Network

   The Digital Data Examination Network employs machine learning, facial identification, and AI in the detection, recovery and analysis of digital data from audio-video and CCTV footage, 2D and 3D images and online material for the identification of deepfakes, cybercrime, counter-terrorism and security risks.

5. Psychology and Criminology Network

   The Psychology and Criminology Network seeks to understand and support victims and witnesses of crime, the rehabilitation of offenders, international policing practice, policy and culture and aid forensic practitioner resilience.

6. Chemical, Biological and Trace Analysis Network

   The Chemical, Biological and Trace Analysis Network specialises in detection, recovery and analysis of chemical ballistics, controlled drugs, medicinal, cosmetic and food products, biological materials, DNA and trace evidence to enhance global public health and policy.

7. Search and Discovery Network

   The Search and Discovery Network specialises in processes involved in the search for and discovery of human and/or animal remains/traces using technology including drones, robots and sensors.

8. Face Lab

   Face Lab focuses on the digital creative agenda. Specifically, Face Lab explores faces and art-science applications.

9. Novel and Bio-based Materials

   The Novel and Bio-Based Materials Research Group are involved in civil engineering and infrastructure construction materials, sustainable pavement engineering and asphalt technology, cement and concrete research, ceramic materials and more. 10. Holistic Built Environment

    The Holistic Built Environment research theme is focused on sustainability related research problem including legal, social, economic, engineering, and management related aspects of Built Environment using novel approaches like digitalisation, Digital Twin, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality and offsite manufacturing techniques.
