6. Olympic Alumna addresses Sports Scholars

   World, Commonwealth, European and Olympic medallist, Anyika Onuora recently returned to Liverpool John Moores University to talk to sports scholars, sport interns and staff from student sport societies about her experiences as an LJMU Sports Scholar.

7. Transatlantic research partnership in the arts

   LJMU’s School of Art and Design has agreed a five-year partnership with Transart Institute in New York City, which will see the two organisations offer a joint transdisciplinary doctoral programme from summer 2020. The aim of the programme is to create an exchange in research areas including contemporary art, art history, curating and exhibition studies, digital culture and technology.

8. IT upgrades coming your way

   During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.

9. LJMU academic shaping solutions to tackle climate concerns across the construction industry

   Dr Ana Bras has been nominated as chair of an international committee looking to find solutions to climate challenges across the whole chain of construction.
