   Throughout Sexual Violence Awareness Week (Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February), a new team of staff from Student Advice and Wellbeing Services were out and about across the University to talk to students and staff about the impact sexual violence and harassment has on individuals and communities

3. NatWest partnership boosts chances for student entrepreneurs

   Students with exciting business ideas are benefitting from a new partnership with banking giant NatWest.

4. Vice-Chancellor comment on the Referendum

   Vice-Chancellor, Nigel Weatherill issued a personal message today to all students and staff in regards to the EU referendum

5. More than 120 local school pupils take part in LJMU Summer University

   Over the past month, more than 120 14- to 17-year-olds from across the UK have taken part in LJMU summer schools to inspire students from underrepresented backgrounds to consider higher education.

6. Embedding nature in local planning

   LJMU is training officers from the six local authorities of the Liverpool City Region and the combined authority to understand the importance of putting nature at the heart of local decision-making.

7. College students enjoy stay in Liverpool and university experience

   At the beginning of July, nearly 100 Year 12 students from Northern Ireland, Wales and across the rest of England took part in a three-day residential visit to LJMU to experience all that the university has to offer.

8. Your new Academic Board members

   Following the call for nominations for five vacancies on our Academic Board, the Secretariat is pleased to announce that they have filled the positions.

9. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.
