4. £50,000 project to assess mental health value of 'great outdoors'

   A successful bid by a national research group led by LJMU looks to better strengthen the use outdoor natural environments as a mental health asset over the coming decade.

5. ICC to research civic engagement and impact of arts organisations

   The Institute for Cultural Capital (ICC), a collaboration between LJMU and the University of Liverpool, is conducting research to establish the role arts organisations play in their communities and nationally.

6. Roscoe Lecture Review: Baroness Helena Kennedy QC

   One of the UK’s most distinguished lawyers and human rights champions Helena Kennedy QC, delivered the 124th Roscoe Lecture at St George’s Hall, as she took the audience through the search for justice in an unjust world.

7. LJMU School of Nursing and Allied Health celebrate multiple March awards and nominations

   LJMUs School of NAH has been shortlisted for nine awards at the Student Nursing Times Awards 2022 as well as a £2,000 Nursing and Midwifery Coordinator Social Prescribing Studentship awarded to Adult Nursing Student, John Wells.

8. Changes to the Leadership and Development Foundation

   The Leadership and Development Foundation is undergoing some changes to better support all staff development across the whole of LJMU.

9. Literacy programme supports Filipino community during pandemic and beyond

   Senior Education Lecturer Dr Judith Enriquez has helped the community of Alapasco in the Philippines to continue to develop their literacy skills despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
