1. Professorship and Readership Conferment: Call for submissions

   Each year applications are invited for the conferment of Professorships and Readerships and the process for 2020 is now open.

3. Launch of MSc Emergency Care module

   The universitys new and innovative MSc Emergency Care module has been well received, with more than 200 stakeholders, leaders and healthcare professionals attending the launch symposium.

4. GaP Training - Additonal Dates Available

   Additional training dates have now been made available as GaP (Grants and Projects) training has proved to be very popular.

5. School of Nursing and Allied Health receives £250,000 from ESRC

   The School of Nursing and Allied Health has been awarded £250,000 from the prestigious Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for a project which will examine the rights of healthcare practitioners in relation to abortion.

6. Next phase of CourseLoop set to go live

   The second phase of LJMU’s new curriculum management system is poised to go live and there will be temporary changes in how staff update their course information.

7. UKRI open access policy changes from 1 January 2024

   The open access policy applies to monographs, book chapters and edited collections associated with UKRI funding published from 1 January 2024.

8. ICC Head of Research invited to join AHRC Peer Review College 2020-23

   Following a competitive nomination process, LJMU's Kerry Wilson has been invited by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to join its academic Peer Review College.

9. Professional Services Conference 2020 - call for submissions extended

   The main theme of this conference is 'Continuous Improvement: the Art of the Possible'. In response to positive feedback from last year's conference, we again welcome submissions on the sub-theme of Health and Wellbeing.

10. How to find and access defibrillators across campus

    We have 60 on campus which anyone can access and use in the event of an emergency.
