   We are excited to announce details of this year's Northern Ireland Teacher Conference, we have lots to share with you! This fully-funded* conference, exclusively for teachers and careers advisors in secondary schools and FE colleges across Northern Ireland includes complimentary return flights and hotel accommodation.

7. Equality, diversity and inclusion in journalism teaching conference

   The journalism department is holding a free one-day conference on EDI in Journalism education on June 26th. Although the conference is geared towards Journalism education, the conference is open to educators from other subject areas who will be welcome to share their research and best practice as well as benefit from transferable, practical ideas around embedding EDI in teaching, learning and assessment and creating an inclusive environment for students.

8. LJMU PE, School Sport and Physical Activity Network Event

   This face-to-face event is for primary and secondary teachers, Sport/PE students, trainee teachers and sports coaches working in schools. The event will: Disseminate the research activity and projects across LJMU PESSPA network Reflect upon the findings and recommendations of the Ofsted subject PE report series (Sept 2023) Celebrate collaborative activities/events.

9. RCBB Neuroscience Theme Event - Dementia

   In this RCBB Neuroscience Theme event various internal and external speakers will discuss research on dementia and aging.

10. Led Ride

    The Environmental Sustainability and Energy Team at LJMU have received funding from Cycling UK to carry out a number of events for the Big Bike Revival.
