2. Green app can help save £100 a month in travel costs

   Liverpool City Region residents could save up to £100 each month by swapping car journeys for bike rides or walks according to data from a new mobile app being launched this week.

3. Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair – 10 March, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   Students from any programme or level of study are invited to attend this fair to meet and network with 50+ employers offering internships, placements and graduate roles.

4. Stepping up on sustainability and saving 25p on every cuppa on campus

   Did you know if you use a reusable cup at a café on campus, you will get 25p off the cost of your hot drink?

5. The First British Astronaut - Helen Sharman CMG OBE Is Coming To LJMU!

   On 17th March 2021 Helen Sharman, the first British person in Space and first British Astronaut will give a talk at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Helen will be speaking about her life and career as a scientist and as the first British astronaut.

6. Students visit textiles and life conference

   MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation students: Joshua Marriott, Macarena Morilla Dominguez and Courtney Hammond presented research posters based on their MA proposals.

7. Art and Science Exchange

   On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.

8. Students given unique insight into production of BBC Radio Merseyside’s longest running programme

   LJMU's MA Mass Communications students went behind the scenes at BBC Radio Merseyside for a studio tour, followed by an 'in conversation' event with Mike Brocken, presenter of Folkscene, Radio Merseyside's longest running programme.

9. MA WRITING students offer short and powerful insights into life in Liverpool

   Liverpool 500 was part of the LJMU MA Writing program and has been shared with Liverpool in Australia a collaboration which forms part of LJMUs Liverpool 2 Liverpool project with University of Wollongongs Liverpool Campus in Sydney.

10. LJMU donates 3,000 items to ease city's 'furniture poverty'

    LJMU has been helping to end furniture poverty for hundreds of local groups.
