5. European Journalism Training Association Teachers' conference

   The university’s Journalism Department is hosting the European Journalism Training Association teachers’ conference, where teaching of sports, society and specialist journalism will be discussed by educators from across the continent.

6. Physical Literacy staff

   This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.

7. Ruth Mwandumba

   Former Sports Scholar Ruth is a champion in the sport of target shooting, the first Black female athlete to represent England and become English Champion in the sport and continues to get support from LJMU through its Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme. She has hopes of competing in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

8. Molly McCann

   Sports development alum Molly McCann, better known as ‘Meatball Molly’, is an inspiring scouse figure in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). She is supported by experts in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences to remain on top form as she competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
