1. Join LJMU at Liverpool Pride

   Liverpool Pride takes place on Saturday 30 July and LJMU are inviting all staff, students and friends to join us at the July event.

2. Initiative to put nature in planning policy recognised

   A key initiative to put nature at the centre of planning policy across the Liverpool City Region has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

3. Formula Student road to Silverstone explored in new 1823 Podcast

   In a special edition of the LJMU 1823 Podcast: The road to Silverstone, Dr Christian Matthews is joined by LJMU e-Racing Head of Team 2022, MSc student Cameron Reedy, and former Head of Team, Rhian Griffith, who now works as a mechanical engineer at the Small Robot Company.

4. LJMU Marks National Inclusion Week (2020)

   National Inclusion Week runs from the 28th Sep - 4th Oct 2020 and gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to inclusion in and outside of the LJMU community.

5. Tithebarn Street roadworks (from 3 June 2019)

   Please be aware that major roadworks will begin on Tithebarn Street on Monday 3 June.

6. LJMU Religion & Belief Workshops “Understanding religious diversity of our students and staff community”

   LJMUs Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with Zia Chaudhry (Director of LJMU Foundation for Citizenship), Zane Abdo (LJMU Muslim Adviser/Chaplin), Rabbi Natan Fagleman (LJMU Jewish Chaplain), Hannah Padfield (LJMU Anglican Chaplain), Father Neil Ritchie (LJMU Catholic Chapain) and other external consultants in order to offer LJMU Staff (& Students*), the opportunity to participate in a bespoke, half day Religion & Belief workshop.

7. Scheme helps LJMU employ more local people of colour

   A new scheme, Positive Action Training (PAT), helping local people of colour enter employment at LJMU has been launched by the Vice-Chancellor (interim).

8. Coffee and Connections Welcomes the Defence and Security Accelerator

   Coffee and Connections events are part of The Engagement Network (TEN) an initiative designed to connect people and opportunities, to foster innovation and enhance engagement with partners and colleagues.

    Go-getting school girls hope to springboard into top science careers by undertaking their own research with Liverpool John Moores University.
