1. Sue Johnston OBE

   Read the oration for Sue Johnston OBE on the award of their Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University presented by Professor Frank Sanderson.

2. Her Honour Judge Sarah Wright

   Sarah Wright is a Circuit Judge at Sheffield Combined Court and was one of 10 Bicentenary honorary fellows chosen to mark the university’s 200th anniversary in 2023. She is a graduate of Liverpool Polytechnic and has dedicated herself to the law and judicial system for more than 40 years.

5. Dr Avril Rowley

   Avril is a graduate of the university, she spent 20 years teaching in primary schools on Merseyside before joining LJMU in 2014 where she is now a senior lecturer within our School of Education, working with both undergraduate and postgraduate students on our primary education programmes. She combines her passion for the outdoors with teaching, and has become our lead on outdoor learning, developing a new approach called the Natural Curriculum, and establishing two Forest School sites.

8. Sharing Practice – Screencasts and role-play to support distance taught students

   For six years this faculty has been running a distance taught programme in Athens which straddles the two notions of distance and face to face teaching.
