   The Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Nisha Katona MBE as the sixth Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University.

   Dr Rafaela Ganga and Dr Steve Nolan of Liverpool Business School will act a co-investigators on a new research project looking to measure the value of culture and heritage to people in Liverpool.

   Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded Bronze status by Advance HE's Race Equality Charter (REC)

7. LJMU Chancellor welcomes scholars, Honorary Fellows and alumni to third Middle Temple celebration

   Over 110 LJMU Scholars, Honorary fellows and alumni came together at a special event in London’s historic Middle Temple last night, hosted by LJMU Chancellor and Honorary Fellow, Sir Brian Leveson.

   In addition to his academic work as Principal Lecturer in Forensic Anthropology, and forensic duties as an expert witness, Dr Matteo Borrini of the School of Natural Sciences and Psychology, debunks psychics who attempt to be involved in forensic investigations, and has learnt the art of magic to help decode their strategies.

9. Gold award for support of the Armed Forces community at LJMU

   LJMU has received a gold award from the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledging how it provides support to the Armed Forces community.

10. Drama and film producer Colin McKeown awarded honorary professor title by LJMU

    In recognition of his services to education and his enduring support of the university’s media production, film, journalism, drama and creative writing students.
