School of Biological and Environmental Sciences
Kelly is a former international 400m athlete for Great Britain and Northern Ireland and has Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European medals to her name. She was one of the first sport scholars to study with LJMU in the late 2000’s and has been a lecturer with our School of Sports and Exercise Sciences since 2018.
Sports development alum Molly McCann, better known as ‘Meatball Molly’, is an inspiring scouse figure in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA). She is supported by experts in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences to remain on top form as she competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Tina Purkis is the Director of LJMU’s Human resources department.

HIV services and prevention work within the North West of England utilise the Public Health Institute's interactive tools, databases, and intelligence work. We offer assistance through evaluations and research into: contraception, teenage pregnancy, STDs, young people's health. Accommodation suitable for students with families is not provided by LJMU. The rooms which we provide in our partner halls are only available to full-time students. They are not available to the partners or children of students.
At our Volunteering and Summer Opportunities Fair, we'll have charities, businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas from various sectors. Some are looking for volunteers, others are offering paid summer opportunities, including Go Global schemes like Camp America.
