1. War hero visits LJMU in battle for mental health

   National hero Phil Packer MBE visited Liverpool John Moores University today (Jan 30) as part of a campaign for better student mental health.

In partnership with the other universities in the city, LJMU has embarked on a number of initiatives to work with local residents.

3. £575k boost for student mental health provision in Liverpool

   A partnership featuring Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded £575k worth of funding from the Office for Students for a project to further develop mental health provision for students across Liverpool.

4. Paid internship opportunities for L5 and 6 students

   Student Futures, LJMUs Careers, Employability and Enterprise team, have a range of exciting, paid internship opportunities available for L5 and 6 (second and third year) students working on a real-life project for a local business/SME.

5. LJMU hosts climate summit for businesses

   How businesses and students can help the Liverpool City Region become carbon net zero was the key theme of a summit hosted by LJMU.

6. Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage conference held in partnership with Savera UK 

   LJMU equality and diversity team worked in partnership with SaveraUK to host an inspiring HBA, FGM and FM event in November 2019.

7. Lecturer's work featured in national showcase

   A project featuring a lecturer from LJMU will take centre stage next week (Monday 14 June Saturday 19 June) at the British Academys Summer Showcase.

8. LJMU partners with L8 community celebration

   On Saturday 25 June, staff and students from LJMU will join hundreds of people at Firefit Community Hub (115 Upper Warwick Street, L8 8HD) in Toxteth for a community fair and celebration of everyone and everything that makes L8 so unique.

9. MA Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice student gives their advice for kick starting a new business

   Rena, 39 began studying at LJMU in 2020 and decided to transform a café into counselling rooms during her second year of study.

10. Maritime SuperSkills Project

    Event to celebrate the successful completion of the project at the Maritime Museum, Royal Albert Dock on 13th June 2019. Attended by Iain McKinnon, Secretary Maritime Skills Alliance, local and national employers and LJMU staff who have helped with the project.
