   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. 3. Academics support project to protect sex workers from violence

   LJMU is set to be part of a ground-breaking Merseyside partnership that protects sex workers from violence.

4. International sport coaching programme in Malta hits the right mark

   International specialists in the field of sport coaching at LJMU visited Malta this month, rounding off the academic year, as they brought together UK-based MSc Sport Coaching students with their Maltese counterparts on the MSc International Sport Coaching programme.

5. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

6. EFC offer - discounted tickets

   Everton Football Club is once again offering LJMU staff and students discounted tickets to a range of fixtures this season.

7. Law school run half marathon for Whitechapel Centre

   Eight students and staff from the School of Law laced up their trainers and ran the Liverpool half marathon on Sunday 27 March, in aid of local homeless and housing charity the Whitechapel Centre.

9. Liverpool John Moores University celebrates a week’s worth of Graduations

   Liverpool John Moores University is celebrating after a wonderful week of graduation ceremonies at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, in which more than 4,000 students graduated across 18 ceremonies, including 96 members of staff.

10. Art takeover at Liverpool’s iconic Lewis’s building

    An ambitious public-facing art exhibition CLEARANCE! is now on display at Liverpool's iconic former Lewis's department store building, showcasing the work of MA Fine Art students and graduates.
