1. Professor Frank Sanderson

   Professor Frank Sanderson is one of the pioneering team that launched the sport science degree at Liverpool Polytechnic and was admissions tutor in September 1975 when the first students enrolled.

2. European Journalism Training Association Teachers' conference

   The university’s Journalism Department is hosting the European Journalism Training Association teachers’ conference, where teaching of sports, society and specialist journalism will be discussed by educators from across the continent.

3. Rachael Grace

   Rachael is the winner of the Rose Paterson Sportswoman Community Award 2023 for her dedication to the sport of netball in Liverpool. Not only is she an inspiring community sports coach she juggles teaching and being a mum alongside her own development, having most recently gained an MPhil with LJMU.

9. Kelly Massey

   Kelly is a former international 400m athlete for Great Britain and Northern Ireland and has Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European medals to her name. She was one of the first sport scholars to study with LJMU in the late 2000’s and has been a lecturer with our School of Sports and Exercise Sciences since 2018.
