  2. Gordon Millar

    Gordon plays a key role in Liverpool’s lively theatre scene as the Artistic Director and CEO of Unity Theatre, a venue that started life in the 1930s and continues to explore current societal matters through its performances. As an LJMU drama alum, he continues to support current students who were once in his shoes and is proud to have many new graduates working at Unity today.

  4. Lorraine Shaw

    Lorraine Shaw was the Subject Lead for Nursing in the School of Nursing and Allied Health from 2013 until her retirement in 2023. As a registered nurse since 1987, practising in a range of clinical areas, her ties with LJMU began in 1992 when she needed a degree to progress with her career and enrolled with LJMU while continuing to work full-time for the NHS, and later venturing into teaching and management.

    Researchers in the Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and Palaeoecology have used drones for the conservation of habitats, discovered how Neolithic agriculture spread, and uncovered the earliest evidence of hunting - to point out just a few of our achievements.   9. Accounting and Finance for Society Research Group

    The Accounting and Finance Research Group will be located in the Business School. It will be mainly conducted within five research themes, Accounting and Society, Financial Stability, Sustainability, FinTech and Accounting Education.
