1. Art takeover at Liverpool’s iconic Lewis’s building

   An ambitious public-facing art exhibition CLEARANCE! is now on display at Liverpool's iconic former Lewis's department store building, showcasing the work of MA Fine Art students and graduates.

2. Make a difference for The Whitechapel Centre

   For the last two years we have been involved in the Whitechapel Christmas Appeal and thanks to you all donating an amazing amount of gifts, you helped make Christmas special for The Whitechapel Centre clients. We are delighted to be supporting the initiative again and hope that you're are all feeling as generous as in previous years.

3. Global impact for publication on lack of exercise under ‘lockdown’

   Research which highlights changes to the human body during lockdown and other sedentary situations is having a huge impact among scientists worldwide.

4. Women in football celebrated at inaugural LJMU networking event

   On Wednesday 15 June, LJMU celebrated the work of women in football at the inaugural meeting of the Football Exchange Women's Network (FExWN). The event brought together network members, delegates and industry speakers to celebrate their contributions to the sport and to challenge the realms of what is considered possible.

5. LJMU green space part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations

   One of LJMUs outdoor green spaces has been formally recognised as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

6. Art and Science Exchange

   On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.

7. Examination Timetable now out

   The main University examinations will take place between 27 April - 7 May 2020.

8. LJMU team takes on Kilimanjaro

   A team of 17 self-named Kilimanscousers including LJMU Students, LJMU alumni and Liverpool professionals will climb Kilmanjaro this August.

9. LJMU and LCR collaboration creates 44 apprentices for autism charity

   LJMU has collaborated with LCR to transfer £132,000 of unspent Apprenticeship Levy to Autism Initiatives, funding 44 new apprentice care workers for the charity.

10. Transgender Day / Remembrance Vigil Liverpool
