   The department of Media, Culture, Communication in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences has established a new initiative to create space for students to socialise and support their wellbeing.

3. Care experienced girls and young women still at risk of unnecessary criminalisation

   Girls and women who have been through the care system should be diverted away from custodial sentences into community alternatives wherever possible, says a new report published today (Weds 4 May 2022). And the study adds that moves to prevent the criminalisation of girls in care need to be high on the agenda for change.

4. LJMU announces Honorary Fellowships for July Graduation

   The prestigious titles are awarded to those who have made an outstanding contribution to society, or an outstanding achievement by an individual in a given field, resonating with the ethos and values of the university and the city of Liverpool.

5. Tim Nichol meets PM of Vietnam as we expand our global reach

   Tim Nichol met with the Prime Minister of Vietnam at the weekend as LJMU sealed a partnership with one of the country's up-and-coming universities.

7. LJMU is one of 24 universities with Race Equality Charter Bronze Award

   Liverpool John Moores University has been awarded Bronze status by Advance HE's Race Equality Charter (REC)
